In the "import data" tab, when choosing the type of data to import, one must choose between "project" and "activity", for example. Is there a way to do both at the same time in a single Excel file?

No, it's not possible. You have to buy a plugin to do what you want to do.

No, there is two type of entity for ProjeQtOr.
You need to import Project first then activities (and keep link between Project and Activities either with name (be sure your project's name are unique) or via Id (you need to update Activities files after import Project to be sure to use the right Id.
I do this for data transfert from old project management tool, it need to align all reference (such as type, status, ... in excel files, then impprt project, making link between Project and Activities on activities file then import activities (it work the same for milestone).
But it's the way to reuse data without entering by hand 🙂 !

yes you are right, that is indeed the case, but it does not seem to me that the answer given says the opposite. We just point out that to import different elements at the same time you need the XML format (and XML is not reserved for MSProject...)
