Hello,
I have two questions about displaying days when some resources are not availables in "Resource planning". The need is to know as fast as possible when and why a resource is not available.
1) In our compagnie we have several resources which have a different calendar (some works only from wednesdy to friday, some works every two week, etc.)
I have manage that by using different calendars. There is no problem in "Real work allocation" view or in Diary.
But in the view "Resource planning", the days set as "not worked" in theses resource's calendar as not displayed in grey like week ends (or like closed days set in default calendar). Is there a way to set in grey in Resouce planning the days set as closed in the calendar of theses resources ?
2) Concerning the days off, we have created an Administrative project as it is recommended. However, an administrative project has no planning calculation, and in "Resource planning", the project displaying day off doesn't appear.
P.S for French speakers : Je peux traduire ces demandes en Français au besoin, mais le forum semblant majoritairement anglophone, j'ignore si cela est utile 😉

No, resource planning displays planning for several resources, with possibly different calendars. That's why default calendar is always displayed.
(There is also a technical reason about how cells are greyed, but this is not the subject)

Yes, but there would be no use to display adminsitrative projects in Resource Planning. Consider that in Gantt view, tasks are not split and display a simgle bar from start date to end date, whatever is between both (maybe nothing)

The first rule of the forum is "Post in english", in order to provide information to everybody.
Thank you for your answers.

Got it ! 😉

I understand. Still, we have difficulty to understand quickly why a task with a charge of 2 days is sometimes planned on 2 week in the gantt view. What we do now is to check calendar or diary to confirm that the resource is not at the office for the concerned period.
Anyway, this is not blocking and I have confirmation there are not better way to do that. Thanks angain.
