do you think it is possible to block download (or preview) of obsolete versions of documents?
For example, when a document is locked give access for downloading (or preview) only to the version that is marked as reference version, (or only to latest version)?
Old versions could still be accessible when unlocking the document...
Do you think this is an interesting feature?

I really don't see the interest in the document.
Moreover, what is interesting in ProjeQtOr is to link document to an item (ticket, activity, ...) and if you link the document, when you download it (from item) you'll get the latest version...
So you don't think that ProjeQtOr should be used for versioning of more general procedures
such as purchase process description / developpement procees description...?
Yes, it is possible.
But in that case, you won't acces documents directly but through a linked item. And then you'll get what you expect (I think)

just tried, as linked element (to a project), I get the latest version as you say.
I might then work with administrative projects per department.

when accessing documents through items as linked elements we lose quick search by document names...
