I'm using V.8.0.4.
As is shown in the next picture, the resource is working full time on project 4.2 (priority 500) from September.
And the resource is doing nothing on project 9.2 (priority 400) the last week of August but half time on project 4.2.
How should I do so that the resource works on project 9.2 and finish it in August and start full time on project 4.2 despite the fact that the resource is allocated from 1/9? You see that the priority on the project doesn't seem to work.

A quick update. I removed the allocation and re-added it from September and it worked. Maybe you can have a look at it and see if it is a bug.

Nevertheless, if you want that your resource work on one project ( and its activities) and not another one, you can either play with priorities, or periods of allocation, or dependencies, or milestsones, or planification mode like " not start before validated start date " for the activitry which follows this one. In fact, your resource works on others activities without ending another one, it is just because " you play" with all this features. I can t find easily what you have done wtih just the few informations you get to us.
