[#4168]

Hi,

I'm exploring Projeqtor to see how it fits common needs over here ...

Problem1:
Project A, Team with multiple members, multiple tasks have to be assigned to team.

Team members pick task in case of having free time or being assigned direct.

Member A picked tasks but, he has holiday, becomes sick, whatever.
Is there a way to transfer tasks automatic to back to team to be picked from another member?

Time should also be tracked exactly to get real costs of project not oversight only...

Thank you!

Project leader should always have possibility to re-assign task

It is also possible, you just need to define cost for resource

Hi,

thanks for answer.

If I understand it correct only project leader can re-assign a task.

What happens when project leader is absent for whatever reason?

No automatic mechanism or escalation available?

No.
The tool does not replace the management.

Project Leader should have a backup 😉

Hi,

this question has nothing to do with replacement of management. 😉

Escalation is a common function in case of critical actions needed, tasks becoming overdue, ...

Backup of a project leader should be a second / 3rd / ... project leader?

This is where "locums" match (in German "Stellvertreter").

It's no active project leader but, in case of need he get's information needed to perform tasks of project leader AND gets corresponding permissions. There is no real need to have those permissions every time (role = project leader).

For such functionality escalation is needed as well:
Project leader doesn't respond in time or absence is known -> escalation to locum and / or team.

Would be fine to have it because those are basic management tasks which can be automated. Effort to manage it is very low.

Thank you.
