Hello,
PQ version: 6.5.3
I have user with default profile "PRODUCTION MANAGER". With this profile user can do many things inside project inclusing assign of resources for activities, changing status of activities (of course we are talking about activities of this project).
And now, I have hierarchy of projects.
PRJ_A (in which user was declared as user&resource = PROJECT MEMBER)
==> sub project PRJ_B (in which user was declared as user&resource = PRODUCTION MANAGER)
======> sub project PRJ_C (in which user was declared as user&resource = PRODUCTION MANAGER)
In this configuration user cannot manage activities of PRJ_C.
When I change his rights for PRJ_A to "PRODUCTION MANAGER" all is working fine.
According information we have right are inherited from latest node - so in our case it should be "PRJ_C".
Hi,
I tested with "standard" profiles, and all works as expected.
I have structure :
- P1
- P1 DEV
- P1 MAINT
Resource Manager is allocated to P1 as PRoject Member, and to P1 MAINT as Project Manager.
Behavior is as expected :
Manager can modify assignments on activities of P1 MAINT but not on activities of P1 DEV and P1.
Please try and reproduce on demo.projeqtor.org.
NB : about allocation to project, take care of dates : if start date is in the fututre or end date is in the past, this allocation is not taken into account for access rights.
Well, indeed, I cannot reproduce this case on demo installation however I can do that 100/100 on our system.
I have no any dates as start / end date declared on eny project.
What can I check more to understand my issue ?
Possibly on acces rights definition.
But how access rights on project 2 levels upper can impact rights on direct project ?
Acces rights are inherited from top project to sub-projects.
In case
P1
P1.1
P1.2
You can allocate resource only to P1, it will retieve same access right to P1.1 and P1.2
But if on TOP level rights are "X" and on sublevel I extend them or change them to "Y" what then ?
User has superposition of X, Y ? Only Y ?
Only Y, there is not superposition
