[#6240]

Hello,

I was wondering if that is possible to adapt the calculation of the remaining working time to this:
validated work - real work = remaining work (with the percentage progress bar based on the result)

In our case, we create activities with a pool of days that we can't tell who to assign the work to. Basically, people work and record their working time in the activity.

Today, the remaining time is calculated between multiple values (validated work, real work, assigned, reassessed). This type of calculation makes it quite hard to follow the remaining work as all above values move when an employee record working time on the activity.

Best regards
FM

If could be possible, if assigned work is not defined...
I recorded Ticket #4192, but not sure to implement this as it goes against general way of working in Projeqtor.

No, Left is always Assigned - Real (if left is not redefined).

NB : You could do what you expect with a Pool
Allocate resources to a pool. Allocate the pool and the resources to the project. Assign the pool (and not the resources) to the activities (with assigned work)
Then resources can enter work on pool activities and left is correct.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer, but how would you "Allocate resources to a pool" ? Only ressources can be assigned to an activity.

I'm not sure to fully understand your answer.

Best regards

hI

Create a pool with the dedicated screen.
Then add resources belonging to this pool on the same screen.
Then allocate the pool to the project on this screen too
Then assigne the pool to the activity from activity screen
Simple !

Regards.

Hi,

Got it, thanks a lot. Just one more thing, it seems impossible to allocate ressources to a pool in mass.

I need to repeat the operation of allocation multiple times to include everyone in the pool. Possible to add that functionality you think ?

Cheers

No, adding "everyone" may be an unexpected feature. Pool is not project dependent, so it would add all resources of the DB, and it could be a real mess for instances with hundreds of resources... or we should add mass removal.
