You don't have to deal with linux to configure SSO : just go to Global Parameter page en enter your SSO (IDP) information.
Of course you also must add your SP to your IDP (get metadata to ease this step)

NB : if you need help to install an IDP, it is out of scope of this forum, search the web...
NB : V8.1.0 also works fine without SSO 😉

(replace yourserver with your server address)

The issue is not with the server IP Address or Server domain name. But in the main.php SSO is referred even without it is set.
So I am not able to move further unless and otherwise SSO is bypassed.
Please suggest the solution.

Solution was proposed below :
instead of going to http://yourserver/projeqtor (or whatever is your url to projeqtor) go directly to http://yourserver/projeqtor/view/main.php
