in my understanding the projeqtor cron is used to send emails and internal alerts
in my configuration (see attachment) cron is stopped. But i am receiving mails and internal alerts.
can you explain that to me

CRON sends alerts (internal or emails) when an indicator is reached (this means without any user changing the concerned item).
For instance if you have alert on ticket due date, the alert is send when the due date is reached.
This is configured on "Indicators".
But projector also sends alerts on item change : for instance on status change, or when note is added.
This is configured on "Mails on events".
These email don't need the CRON to be sent.

For Alerts on due dates.
For Automatic Import
For Notification system
For import of Replies to email
For Timesheet errors generation
For automatic planning calculation
