I tried again with new installation of ProjeQtOr 11.1.4.

perhaps because of that:
Since 2022, Gmail stopped third party applications from using username and password authentication, hence the error you are getting.
I think that Gmail gives option to activate the remote login with user / password.
You must configure it on your gmail application.
