I've tried this using a number of different server addresses e.g. tls://smtp.gmail.com 465 587
My firewall is disabled.
I'm running v5.2.1 and have never had success with the email configuration.
I have a different application using smtp.gmail.com and 465 on the same machine with no issues.
I'd love to use this software but will have to move on if you can't get the email to work.
Error follows:

When connecting from new apllication, default behavior is now to block connection.
You may have a notification in your gmail account. You must tretreive this notification and follow instructions to allow connections.
I've tried a few other smtp servers with the same outcome. Connection is always refused.
Does this function work or not?
Does this function work or not?
Yes works fine.
I use it every day 😉
I appreciate your help and was hoping that this would be the solution we would be implementing.
Without a working email function, it's not going to happen.
Small world -
It's only a matter of configuration.
Depending on smtp provider, configuration may differ, but I did not hear about someone not succedding in having it work at last.
