As for your question, during the installation of your instance of ProjeQtOr, what path have you settled for the files ?
You can find this information, logged as an administrator, in Configuration/Global Parameters/System/Files and Directories

Do you have the rights to write in that directory ?

Also, have you followed our security tips ?

first of all sorry for not reading through the post msg that indicated the post was pending admin approval.
And secondly, while trying to respond to the post on mobile, i mis-pressed the button and ended up clicking 'Report' 😮

I found the answer to my question on a few years' old post. the issue was due to the setting on the attachment size being set to 0 in the settings.
Once I changed that value, i can see the 'Files' section on all items and am able to add/attach files.
