I would like to setup a project template that includes phases, activities, milestones, etc. with durations and links filled in. I would like to then use the template to create a new project and then just change the project start date and have all the other activities adjust the dates automatically.
I created a project with a type of template and setup all duration and linking of activities which filled-in the validated dates for each activity. When I copy it these dates come over and when I change the project start date, the activities do not update the validated or requested dates.
How do I create the template such that the dates are dependent on the project start date when copied?
The start dat that you define on Project does not condition start of project.
What should be missing is just a fixed milestone at the begining of the project that will condition the first phases/tasks.
Just change date of milestone, replan and you're in.
