[#8288]

Since transition to V9.5.4, the Meetings are displayed as first level items  on the Planning view, even when their enclosing project is reduced to a single display line.
Scenario :
- Create projects with meetings and other activities inside their WBS hierarchy
- Go to Planning view and click on the "minus" sign at the top left to reduce display to the top level WBS hierarchy
- all projects are displayed on a single line, activities inside are hidden
- except for meetings, which are still displayed on their own line
See attached image : meetings for project 20 are still visible

, although the project itself is rolled-up

I would like that meetings are also hidden inside their projects when I click on the minus sign.
How to do that : configuration ?, project options ? , WBS hierarchy ?

Version used : V9.5.4, Chrome and Firefox browsers

Thank you

I would like meetings to also be hidden inside their projects when I click the minus sign.

this is the basic configuration. I do not reproduce this error.
I only see the fact that these meetings are not in the right project...

Thanks for your answer, not sure to understand what you mean with "the fact that these meetings are not in the right project." : is this an hypothesis or something you deduced from the screen grab ?
From the WBS codes in the example, the meetings (20.2.11.x) are inside the project "Patella" (20).
I have attached two other screenshots which give more details on the hierarchy between the main project (Patella) down to the meetings.

Maybe something is wrong in  our WBS structure ?
But I would like to insist that prior to V9.5.4 we were using V9.4.3 and had no problem displayng the Gantt reduced to the main projects, with no meetings visible : please see the third grab PqtorHiddenMeetingsV9.4.3.PNG

Check consistency on Administration screen, and apply fix if some isses exist.
You may have WSB unconsistency.

Thank you for the suggestion.
I have performed the Consistency Check "look for errors" from the Administration page.
The answer for WBS sequence control was "no anomaly detected".
So the problem of displaying meetings on the Gantt chart even when the enclosing projects are folded-up does not seem to be related with inconsistency in the WBS codes.

Any other suggestion ?
Could it be related with the depth of the WBS codes  ?
The meetings have long WBS codes, because they generally are the fourth or fifth level of the WBD tree : for example 20.2.11.1 = fourth level of the WBS structure.

New finding on the display of Meetings in the Gantt views

The display of Meetings in the Gantt view "by ressource" works correctly with the folding/unfolding of the enclosing project. When the project is folded (by clicking on the minus sign), the meetings are hidden , when the project is unfolded the meetings are visible. See examples on the attached grabs.
The same thing still does not work on the "standard" Gantt view
.

Hi,

First, as long as I can see, these are not just meetings, but elementary mettings part of a Periodic Meeting...
This may be important for analysis.
In fact, display of meetings is weird even when project is "open".
The meetings should be displayed "under" their parent, the preiodic meeting.
It may not be due to depth, as 2 levels is not really deep.

After Consistency Check, do you apply fix ?
It seems there are some errors that could be fixed.
Possibly there are also other errors that could be fixed by concistency check.
Please apply fix and check if issue still exists.

Hi ,
my answers are directly in your post below. Thank you for your help.

First, as long as I can see, these are not just meetings, but elementary mettings part of a Periodic Meeting...
This may be important for analysis.
Yes, you are right, most of the meetings in our planning were declared as instances of periodic meetings.
We also have the same display issue (incorrect indentation and not disappearing when the parent is folded-up) on a few other activities that are not meetings.  But the majority of the activities display correctly.

In fact, display of meetings is weird even when project is "open".
The meetings should be displayed "under" their parent, the preiodic meeting.
It may not be due to depth, as 2 levels is not really deep.
Yes, we also noticed that the positions of the meeting instance relative to their parent (the periodic meeting declaration) was strange but we don't know what caused that. It was correct before switching to the latest version of Projeqtor.

After Consistency Check, do you apply fix ?
It seems there are some errors that could be fixed.
Possibly there are also other errors that could be fixed by concistency check.
Please apply fix and check if issue still exists.
Applying the fix resulted in a mysterious error message : ERROR : Une erreur est survenue le 2022-06-13 à 10:05:26
Please see attached grab.

The issue on meetings display remains the same after applying the fix.

Hi,

We'll fix this issue on V9.5.5.
As it deals with consitency of meetings, it may solve your issue...
