Of course it is possible. Your administrator can add or remove access to the screens or to certain functions at any time.
To give you access to the asset management screens, go to configuration> Access rights> Access to forms and check the necessary screens.
For access rights go to configuration> Access rights> Access to data (not project dependent)> Generic features and List of value and select the access mode you need!
