In our projects, we see several issues on the tasks duration.
If we take the example displayed on the picture.
7 men.days are remaining, 1 day for 7 people. Most of the ressources are working on several projects but their load would authorize a task closure within 3 weeks maximum (point verified on the Load Plan reports..
But we observe that this tasks is planned to close beginning of 2024.
The task has no constraint before. It is set at Priority 1 and to be complete "As soon as possible".
Do you know what could be the reason ?
Other tasks have similar behavior.

Your resources are shared across several projects, so it's going to be difficult to determine the cause of this planning without seeing the details of all their projects.
The way tasks are calculated by the solution and what is taken into account to plan resources is determined by a specific order.
Dependencies, or certain planning modes such as manual planning or recurring mode have higher priority than priorities on activities or projects, for example.
Dates of entry, periods on the project, absences... so many possibilities can mean that your resources cannot start before.

This is my concern. I have checked all these elements and see nothing.
I only see that the task is extended only for 2 ressources.
If we take an example (refer to the attachment), this resource has nothing in 2023 and 2.5 days are appearing in 2024. It is the same for the other resource.
Both resources have no vacations in 2023 or other activities or constraints.
Then, I don't think that it is linked to project constraints.

I have displayed the planning of the first ressource and I have seen another task which was displayed until 2024. This task was [as soon as possible]. I have set an 'end date' and set [regular between 2 dates] and it has corrected the issue.
The system behavior is stange and I think that there is a bug behind that. It is not the first time that we observe such behavior. What you would need to investigate (traces ?) ?
