Hello,
in the current mail sending form it is possible to check :
- Requester
- Emitter
- Responsible
- Project team
- Global Project team
- Project manager
- Registered for updates
- Other
My idea is to create another checkbox named «Other recipient of the entity». Like «Other», if the checkbox is checked a textbox is displayed so it is possible to register the field names of the entity containing the id of the user/ressource/contact containing the email to be used.
Example : I select «Project» as the entity, I choose «XXX» as the condition triggering the sending of the mail, I check the chekbox «Other recipient of the entity» and I fill the textbox with idContact,idSponsor,secondary__idContact ... it would be my problem to ensure that those field really exist for the entity I have selected.
This is not the same approach as the contacts in the project as the contacts/ressource/users I am talking about may not be involved in the project realization but just by some steps of the project evolution.
This functionality would give the availability to send a mail from a workflow to anybody at any step --> Projeqtor could therefore be used as a backbone to trigger tasks even outside of the projects teams.
My 2 cents,
Request recorded as Ticket #5052.
NB : In fact, controlling that fields exists is mandsatory...
it should also be easier to provide selection from list of fields that are Resource or Contact or User.
