first of all thanks for the quick talk at Vivatech. It has been a pleasure to meet you in person.
Here is my proposal for an evolution as discussed :

Project management is the necessary tool to enable fulfilling department or business unit goals. Goals (or objectives) are key to keep the project team focus toward project success. When the goals are set, well-defined and clear for the whole team, they can create tremendous momentum for the teammates. We can derive goals from department goals, include a specific project within a goal or generate sub-goals to sub-teams or to individuals (ressources). It helps as well the department management following individual goals, groups goals and even include "entreprise" goals with portfolios of projects. 

Having goals items just like risks, milestones, requirements and linkable to assigned group of projects or groups of individuals would help us tracking and motivating the teams.
