Hello,
like filters, display settings for lists is usable to define a "view" on items.
For exemple, you don't use same view for project review with project managers and for charge review with board of directors.
Recording filter is easy and convenient, but you make only restriction on view.
To be able to make projection (in relationnal meaning), the ability to record displays settings will be fine.
I expect to be clear...
