Object : Improvement / extension of the view "product" and the view "by-product" with a view "functional areas" or "business areas"
*****************************************************

Hi babynus,

For better organisation and répartition of the projects, it would be useful to extend the view "products" and the view "by-products".
Indeed, in most of the projects in medium-sized customers and major accounts (eg. In banks, telecom sector, etc.), it is usual to find an information system "urbanized".

Therefore, projects can be:
- Related to several functional "domains" (billing, collection, customer management, SMS Sending and Management Relations, etc.).
- Limited at one functional area.

Thus, the view "products" and the view "by-products" are limited and insufficient.

It would be really useful to expand and allow a vision more "urbanized", divided into functional areas.
- This approach provides more flexibility and consistency with reality of projects, as it happens with majority of customers.
- This approach allow to define, more effectively, projects and versions of projects related products, by-products and product version

Changes and improvements to be made:
*******************************************
1) First to get more clarity, iI would be useful to merge the pages "products" and "by-product" in a single view, in order to display them in a tree form.

2) Secondly, provide the possiblity to define functional or business areas, in order to help better define et more efficiently organise projects and versions of projects, related with products, versions of products and by-products

Cordialy

It is already there - you can setup project as a sub-project of another one. So, you will get the grouping this way
