The 45° graph cannot be strict out of "day"' scale.
On other scales, to be strict, the 45° line should be as large as a scale factor : for Month scale, the 45° line should be 1 month wide.
Or (other option) we should display milestone dates without detail, then all dates of same month will be displayed on same "monthly" line. So it will be unreadable.

So if you wish to have the "strict" display of 45° graph with each milestone line ending at 45° border, you must use day scale.

If we use on the project the day filter, it is also unreadable. (look the attached file). In the X axe , dates are unreadable..(when there are lot of milestones).

It is the reason why, we want to use a "week" or "month" scale in order to have more visibility...
I think, this view implies more optimization.

We'll have a look a day scale display to avoir displaying all dates so that it keep beeing readable
