Hi,
I try too use the PDF functionality, but i always have an ERROR; I have try with a fresh install of v4.5; and same problem.
On the print preview screen i get : "ERROR : An exception occurred on 2014-11-17 at 01:15:38"
and in the log file :

a possible workaround, if you didn't a solution: Print on printer and then select PDF creation device.

I could not reproduce for Ticket and Activity.
Both are correctly exported to PDF.
Which kind of item do you try to export in PDF Format ?
