Hello,
we use ProjeQtOr for receiving tickets by mail using Office365. Unfortunately Microsoft disabled Basic Authentication for IMAP this month ( https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/exchange-team-blog/basic-authentication-deprecation-in-exchange-online-september/ba-p/3609437) so that we are no longer able to receive mails within ProjeQtOr. Maybe we can re-enable basic auth for now but with end of the year it will be disabled forever. Is there any plan to implement OAuth2.0 within ProjeQtOr?
Thanks in advance
Ronny
No, there is no plan to implement oAuth2 authentification for IMAP.
Moreover, if my remembering is correct, oAuth2 on Office 365 involves to use microsoft API to acces the mails, so we would have to rewrite a large part of the code.
Do you know any other solution for us to fix it?
Redirect these mails to a less contrained mailbox (many are available, some for free)
Quick question: does anybody else need this function? Redirecting mails isn't a working solution for us because it's not allowed to redirect confidential mails to public (free) mail providers. I'm tracking the ticket within ProjeQtOr development but since it has priority low it's postponed again and again.

Sponsored evolutions always have highest priority.
And as we has limited dev capacity, we may not have much time for other evolutions.
If this is urgent for you, you may concider sponsoring it.
Participating to our User Qlub is also a solution to increase priorities of tickets.
