[#3788]

Hi,

I wanted to play around with pChart and I discovered that the included version is 8 years old!
Could you update to latest version to include the security fixes and new features? Thank you!

Yes,
I was about to add pChart2 in next version, but reverted, because pChart2 licence is not clear. It requests the authorisation before using GPL licence. I'm not sure this is really legal, as GPL allows to be used in GPL code without restriction, but don't want to bother with this as pChart (V1) does not have this constraint and does the job. Only real improvement I could see in pChart2 (that I would use) is the antialiasing.

I found a clarification on their forums: http://wiki.pchart.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2123

This looks OK to me since ProjeQtOr is fully GPL licenced, including (paid or not) plugins, or at least it should be, since this is the same system as Drupal for example: https://www.drupal.org/about/licensing#q7

"When distributing your own module or theme, therefore, the GPL applies to any pieces that directly interact with parts of Drupal that are under the GPL."

This only applies to distributing (your case), not running on a web server (if you make a plugin for yourself to run on your servers, and don't distribue it, it's OK).
