First of all, thanks for this very nice piece of software which helps us alot!
We have upgraded from 7.3.5. -> 8.0.4 and have faced some problems:
First, the names of all projects, documents, tickets etc... are displayed very strange in the list window. For example if a project is named "Test project" it is displayed as "Test project#!#!#!#!#!#TEST PROJECT"
Furthermore, i cannot choose the new options in the left menu, i.e. Modules Management, Absence... If i click on it, it just says:
You selected 'Modules management'.
This feature is not available in this version of ProjeQtOr.

I think something went wrong during the update process but I have no idea what it could be or how we can fix it. I have attached the log file. There seem to be some errors at the beginning of the process which I cannot evaluate. Migration of the database seemed to succeed thou.
I would appreciate any help!

IKt seems you're facing a cache issue.

I tried that but it didnt change anything. We have redownloaded and reinstalled the update but we still faced the same problem.
Today we have upgraded from 7.3.5. -> 8.0.0 and this seems to work now. We will check next week if the update from 8.0.0 -> 8.0.4 works for us.
But sure to rapidly migrate to V8.0.4 as V8.0.0. is not a stable release.
We have just successfully upgraded to 8.0.4 from 8.0.0

On a side note: The Project-Selector still displays all projects for all users disregarding their access-rights. Is this intended this way?

No, project selector lists "all projects the user may have access to"
Pay attention, if user profile gives access to "all items of all projects" for any item class (action, meeting, ...) then user will see all projects.

I accidently set messages and notifications to Reader+
