Hi,
An activity can be cancelled even if real work has been entered. This is a real-life scenario, so no issue with that.
However, in the Planning view the parent project containing the cancelled activity does not take into account this real work, which seems strange to me.
For planned work, left work, etc. no problem, but I think real work should take into account all sub-projects & activities, regardless of whether they are closed or cancelled. After all, that real work has actually been spent ! 🙂
You are completely right : real work must be taken into account on real work sum for project, even if task is closed.
But I could not reproduce the issue you point out : anyhow I try it, project sum for real work is correct, even with a closed activity.
In the following exemple, Activity 1 is closed...
Could you remember how you came to your result ?
Any test case to reproduce ?
Hmm, note that this is only for cancelled activities, not closed I think.
I tried it on the demo site, see project #2 and activity #8.
Right !
It is due to evoluton to avoid to sum-up work for cancelled activities.
But, althought assigned work should not be consolidate, reald work should.
