[#3419]

Hello,

I have Projeqtor version 5.3.3 and Screens customization plugin version 1.2. I created a custom filed with the screens customization plugin and now I'm trying to delete it using the delete button but I cannot. The custom field remains present and there is no error in the Projeqtor log file.

Regards,

Strange, because I reproduced once, but cannot reproduce any more.
Maybe it is a specific use case, that I reproduced once by chance, but cannot reproduce any more.
You you please give more details on use case :
- browser used (with version)
- description of created field (name, caption, format, length, ....)
- search for browser issue (in browser console) where error occurs.

Thanks.

Hello,
Indeed strange behaviour. But I don t think that browser is the cause root. (Used browser is Firefox 46.0.1)

1rst created field :
- field name : tst
- format : reference
- lenght : 12

2nd created field :
- field name : interimActions
- format : mediumtext
- lenght : 16777215

Both can not be deleted.

Is there a way to uninstall the plugin and to come back to the standard screen layout?

Regards,
ND

Still cannot reproduce.
Which item do you upgrade ?

To reset the item is not so easy as it involved change in database but it is a very good idea and plugin will be upgraded to add this feature.
Maybe if I can reproduce the issue you point out, I'll try I deploy new feture with fix.

Hi,

I still cannot reproduce, even if I think I could during first test when you reported the issue.

Could you please give more information :
- did you clean browser cache ?
- do you have any error in the browser console ?
- does the confirmation pop-up appears or not ?

Thanks in advance for your information that will help solve the issue.

Hi Babynus,
I tried to delete from several computers. So Ithink there is no problem from browser cache.
There is no error in browser console.

Yes every time when I try to delete the fields, the pop-up confirmation appears.

I will try to reimport the sql database in a new installation of Projeqtor to check if the field can be deleted (We use MSQLDumper for making backups)
Regards,
ND

Could you detail what you did ?
You said you reimported backup of database...
When did you make the backup ? Before creating fields you want to delete ?

It seems strange that other custom fields were kept...
Maybe they are visible, but did you try to save data into these fields ?

Hello Babynus,
In which database are located the customed fields?
Is this database accessible?

Thanks.

The custom fields are stored in the current database, on the dedicated table for each object.

NB : version 2.0 of plugin hjas just been deployed. This version allows to reset screen to default disposition 😉

Hello Babynus,
Thanks for your information.
BUT the plugin does not remove fields and custom labels from the screens.

Dont worry. I removed fields from the database and in the directory model/custom I removed the custom php file. Now I came back to the standard screen.
Thanks for your advices.

Did ypu try the new version 2.0 of the plugin ?
It integrates new "reset" feature that resets the screen to its default standard disposition.

If you faced issues with this new feature, please describe use case so that we can try and fix it.

Hi Babynus
Yes I did the update to version 2.0. But I met the same situation as before.
When I pushed the delete button a pop up menu appeared to prevent the deletion but afterwards nothing happen!
So I decided to cancel manually thefields in the database and the php files.
Sorry for this bad news.
