Hello.
Following described issue I reproduced on ProjeQtOr version 10.0.5, 10.0.6 and 10.1.2.
I created more than 40 new statuses describing our current projects stages. Each of them has its own running Sort order and matching status position in project lifetime. The first status I created is a 0 - Allocation of a new order with id 900 and sort order 10.
To use them, I created a new workflow I named For Orders dedicated only to Projects and assign it only to existing ProjeQtOr defined Project types.
After I activate new workflow, all new items I created having Treatment status get my new status with lowest sort order eg. 0 - Allocation of a new order despite the fact that it is attached only to new dedicated workflow For Orders .
I tested and checked it for a while and I realized that basically workflow set to an item is not used correctly. Creation of any new item take status with lowest sort order and, if there are few of them with the same order, one first in alphabetic sort is taken.
It can be very easy reproduced by creating a new status with sort order lower than default recorder one is eg. less than 100 and by attaching it to new workflow.
As long as its sort order is the lowest one, it will be set during any item creation.
I can only assume it is an issue in dealing with statuses and workflows and will be very glad I am mistaken.
Any idea what causes this behavior and how can it be solved or overcame? All ideas and help are very appreciated!
Regards.

we actually have a constraint in ProjeQtOr that the creation status of an element is always the first of the defined statuses, for all items. This is the normal expected behavior.
Hi,
OK but how can I then have different workflows for different purposes? The only way I currently see is to move recorder status to sort order 1, add it to my new workflow as a first one and connect it to other statuses I defined.
Not what I expected but can leave with it :).
You can have as many workflows as you wish, with different status, the only constraint is that they all must start with the same status.
Yes, and that is an issue I have.
I changed my workflow to include recorded as a first status and am able to configure it as I need.
Thanks for the tip, I am marking this one as Solved.
