[#5984]

hi there,

after updating to 8.0.3 we have in (several browsers) the problem that our standard-user, if changing the status on an activity, get very long loading times sometimes the circle (with dots) which indicates the loading procedere, appears and no further todos are possible.

the status change is set in background, the activity mask will not be refreshed.

for some weird reasons the administrator did not have any problems on this.

maybe you have a clue which extra permissions will be needed to change status on activites or what causes the behaviour. we can reproduce the error with similar account under the same access rights.

admin works fine.

Please look for errors logged in projeqtor log file or in browser console.
Report here any issue.

the problem is, no log file will be written, as he submit the change and changes the status on the database, but it seems that it freezes by updating the mask (refresh).

after a few tests we see the same issue by saving anything with the reduced rights. we receive the "change submitted" green information field and the loading dots in the middle but is not able to refresh the screen.

Please be sure to refresh the browser cahce, then test again.
If problem persist please look for errors in browser console (F12)

hi there,

at first, thanks for your quick replies.

for now, after deleting the cache, the firefox seems to work fine. internet explorer still have the same issues. on the attachment you can see the console-log.

i checked the behaviour with 3 different accounts on 3 different clients. with the same results: firefox works, iexplorer does'nt.

Hi,

It is a javascript issue.
Possibly also a cache issue.
Please be sure to completely clear the browser cache (F5 is enough for FF but not for IE).

If problem persists, please open browser console on login screen and post list of erros pointed out in browser console.

hi,
i deleted the browser cache via options - for now i did it again and also deleted the app_data - internet explorer cache folder.

but the same error appears.

attached you find the logs reduced to the errors since i logged in. at this point the loading dots/circle appears until i close the browser.

thank you for your help

short addition. i guess i made a mistake yesterday and uses the admin account on firefox. others than reportet has the administrator the same issue and after saving an item the loading circle-dots appears for an unlimited time.

it seems that he tries to update the mask. i tried to figure out what can cause the issue, i checked the error log and compare the code and it is no "easy" issue visible.

i try to log the firefox and look if has similar messages.

update 2:
error appears _only_ in internet explorer. Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi and Even Edge is working fine without any given error.

here is the last log, it seem it has a little more details

with 8.0.4 (installed in our dev-environment) problem seems to be solved.
