Hello team,
I have a project with hundreds of task, when i want to change parent of ONE task, it spend 7 minutes.
Nothing work on this server at this time, 4 core, 8 Go, Centos last version, Mysql and Php last version distributed
Is there any possibility to speed this.
We use this solution since a year, now, but lost of time is realy a disadvantage particulary on this type of change, when we want to reorganise project content

Yes, it may be a bit long as it may lead to renumbering (WBS) of many tasks.
I just had a test with big volumetrics :
1 project with 900 sub-projects, each containing about 10 activities, so having almost 9000 activities.
I move a task so that almost the whole structure was renumber (almost 10000 items) : it took 27 seconds on my laptop.
Yes, it's quite a lot, but it's not minutes and it was for 10000 items...
1) What version are you using (be sure to always use last stable release to benefit of our improvments)
2) Can you describe the structure of your projects and the move you make, to better understand what is the impact.
