I would like to know how to manage the following ressoiurce situation :
6 Peoples working on project. Usually no more than 2 on the same.
3 of them work alternatively 1 week on project and 1 week on helpdesk.
2 others work only 1 day per week on project, 4 other days on helpdesk.
The last one works only 4 days/week (0,8 ETP), 1 on project, 3 on helpdesk.
For instance, for the last ressource, I've set:
0,8 ETP on ressource,
I've created 3 projects :
Proj1: affectation 25% priority 500
Proj2: affectation 25% priority 100
Support (Admin project) 0,75 priority 10
Then I've created 3 tasks
Proj1Task1: Assigment 100% ASAP work 20 D
Proj2Task1: Assigment 100% ASAP work 10 D
Support2014: Assigment 100% regular between date work 143 D.
My goal is, like everyone 😉 to be able to estimate the delivery date. However, with this set up I see no change on my planning after having add the Proj2Task1 and the Support2014 task. I don't see neither that my ressource is oveloaded.
Is this set up seems ok to you ? What would you recommend ?

Affectations to
1 project : 25%
1 project : 75%
will lead to correct work for 1 day per week and 4 days per week.
Idem for 1 day per week and 3 days per week with resource at 80%.
Just be sure to set project with 1day per week with higher priority (smaller priority number), otherwise it will not be planned (fisrt would use the 4 available days)
Unfortunatelely, there is no way to plan 1 week on Proj1, 1 week on Proj2.
Best you can do is plan 50% each, and planning wil plan 2,5 days on each project each week.
I don't see neither that my ressource is oveloaded.
Resources will never be overloaded : target date will shift (it is ProjeQtOr planning design)
