[#931]

Hi,

I have a problem planning.
See my document attach for the graph

Problem 1
I have 4 spots with such constraints: Regular between 2 date.
Each to the same resource

I calculate manually the delay to check the workload

My workload shift 1d ... It's strange? It does not calculate the total but 0.9j 1d. So it shifts a day.

Problem 2
All activities are "as soon as possible"
Assigned the same person.
Activities 1 and 4 are 450 priorities, activities 2 and 3 priority 500
1) Why it shifts 4j Activity 4? (Milestone fixed without delay?)
2) Why Activity 4 is not done before the event 2?

Thanks

It is just because of rounding. The work you assigned to task 4, distributed between dates, should be 4.3... So planning will round to 5 or 4. It should lead to the last day to 0.5 without having enough availability. So 0.1 must be planned the day after end date, visually shifting 1 day.
Can you check work planned for last day ?

It should not.

2) Why Activity 4 is not done before the event 2?

It should not.
I don't see task 3 on second picture. Is it normal ?
Could you show detail of activities : assignement rate, priority, planning mode, cdependencies, ...

Hi,

I completed the document

Problem 1: Add the workload for 3 months. We see that shift 1.4 days because of rounding
Problem 2: I added a view of all activities + milestone. For dependencies we see on the GANTT view

Thank you

The shift is "normal" (at least I dont' know how to avoid it).
It is becauses tasks 1, 2 and 3 are planned before.
So is does not leave enough availability of resource to finish before.
This is a very particuliar case : regular between dates for several tasks at once.
Maybe an improvement can be brought, to fill availability in the beginning of the defined period. But it should complexify planning calculation.
To be studied as a later improvement.
Ticket #976

I recorded Ticket #977.
Are you sure there is no "delay" between milestone and task ? (check by editing dependency)

Ok,

Problem 1:
What I do not understand is that during the month of February to early March there are activities 1, 2, 4 => There is the problem (total = 0.9 or 1).
Then from March 8 activities were 1, 3, 4 and he manages to complete the day (total = 1), very strange ....

For problem 2: Not delay :

I repeat the same data for problem 1 and 2, I only change the mode plannind "regular between 2 dates" => "As soon as possible"
