[#4891]

Hi

Is there a way to assign a ressource on all activities of a project in "one click" ?
Imagine a project with more than 100 activities / sub-activities / sub-sub-activities.
I affected a ressource to the project, hoping activities will inherit affectation but no.
Have I to link each activity with ressource one by one ?

Regards

It's not possible afterwards the way you expect it.
What is possible with global parameters is :
- automatically set responsible only resource on mono-allocated projects
- auto assign responsible to activity

What you can do is use multiple update mode to set responsible after setting the global parameters.
Then your resource will automatically be assigned to all changed tasks.

Thank you.

Ok I tried what you proposed. I succeeded for mono-allocated project.
But for multi-allocated projects, I understand that I have to assign activities one by one (except for the responsible) for each resource.
I had a look on import possibilities but I found nothing. Do you confirm that it's not possible to import assignation ?

Regards

Assignment CAN be imported, but it's not as easy as importing Activities, because you cannot export assignments to get a template.
Go to import feature, you'll see Assignment is proposed for import.
Click on help icon beside element selector for help on expected format.
It is quite technical :
idProject = id of the project
refType = 'Activity' for activities
refId = id of the activity (you can for instance export Activities to get their ids)
idResource = id of the assigned resource
idRole = id of the function of the resource on the activity (will determine cost)
