There are no new constraints in V5.0 or V5.1 about status change.
Check your workflow : for the concerned activity, check the activity type, go to this activity type, check workflow, go to this workflow.
On the workflow, check which profile can change status from concerned status to expected status.

The activity type is "Task" and the workflow is "Default"
So, anybody can change a task from "accepted" to "assigned" or from "in progress" to "done".
But, for me, the status don't change.

Some precisions :
When I change the activty type in the activity window, I clck to the 'save buttun" to apply this new status to the activity.
The server is running (because the hourglass is waiting for a little bit long time (between 2 and 3 minutes).
After this step, a short message come with this text (approximative) : "Activity #130 changed" but the status don't change.

So I think that something is running correctly but not to have a correct result.
Any idea ?

My problems are still remains here...
The Activity Status don't want to move after "accepted".
The "assigned" status isn't possible to affect... :S
I can work with this activities, and adding real work allocation.

I don't have modified anything into the basis workflow.

How (where ?) can I check the log file and the browser console ?

Log file is by default on /files/logs/projeqtorYYYMMDD.log
Browser Console is displayed with [F12] on most browsers.

But I think your issue is more on the workflow definition.
Check possible changes and which profile can do the change.

It seems to be maybe the same problem in "Project" form.

Sometimes, I can't modify the status of the project (nothing in the choice list, and no button to change the status)

I create a new project test right now and the problem occurs (see image below). Other projects already created are not affected (see second image below).

And I didn't modify the workflow process : it is the original workflow process and it is the same for all projects

Bizarre....

Project type "Projet adista"
Project type "Projet TSR"

I think I found the "problem" (fo the project problem), and your'r right : it is a workflow problem (part of). I explain

I didn't modify workfows, that's right.......but I've created a new profile "Damien" and this profile is not used in the base created workflows : it has no right for nothing.

I just affected right in the workflow for this profile and all works fin now.

And one word more : your soft is realy fantastic. All days I discover new functionality and ProjeQtor is realy powerful !!!!

I've read all the messages of Damien.
As a user, I have the CP (chef de projet) profile, which is already used in the workflows.
By listing the workflow's controls, I can see that only the first workflow (named Default) is activated.
On which workflow are based the activities ?
With my CP profile, I can manage all the status of a project.
Even as administrator, I can't move the status of an activity from "accepted" to "assigned".

So I'm pretty sure you'll be able to move to this status...
What is blocking you ?

The workflow is defined on the activity type.
Attention : an activity can possibly use a closed workflow...

Here is my last logfile :
- open ProjeQtOr with my login (fga) as CP (profile)
- open activity #135
- try to move status from Accepted to Assigned (cf Screen 2)
- waiting for few minutes (the server is working ?)
- fail and the screen returns to Accepted status (cf Screen 2)
- logout and quit the program.

There is a SMTP connection error : you cannot connect to defined email server.
This brings transaction to fail.

So you may not move to status that leads to sending email.
Desable automatic email sending (on Mails on events) or all mails (remove smtp host in global configuration) or fix email sending.

Without logs, I think it was difficult to find where was the error...
The problem with the SMTP error result because I use multiple connection sites... (home, my office, working sites...)
I have desabled all email sending, and it works !
But how can I fix email sending ?

It is just a good definition of the smtp connection in the global parameters.
This should not depend on your location as email are send from server (unless your server is local on your workstation)
