Just one point : you’ll have to reinitialize your password. Use “Lost password” feature.
If I understand the process for uploading documents correctly, it seems you first need to create the record and save it. then add a version that will allow you to select the file to be uploaded. If true, I would like to propose to change this slightly, by combining the processed. this way one can select the file to be uploaded and also populate all related fields in single process

This would not change much.
There would alway be 2 steps : define document meta data, upload version. This would just change the order of two actions.
And technically it would be a mess because the uploaded version must be linked to a document that does not exist yet...
