why is the validates work is not directly calculated by the sum of validated activity work, just as the assigned work?
is there a way to make is calculated automatically ?
Because in most cases, validated work is defined only on top level (for instance for project, or phase activities). Systematic sum would erase these values...

Hi all,
in our perimeter we use validated work as "approved" effort / work for the activities. Hence this value will be entered on a decision, not on a calculation. For us the current implementation is perfect.
In the report "Work synthesis per activity" the summary is not calculated. Here it would be appreciated, when it will be the sum out of all activities related to the project.

Still, the program compare the validated work with the assigned work for every activity and sub activity !! so the values should be the same and in this case making both the fields automatically calculated should have been the right thing to do
