Objet : problème d'installation sur Xampp 1.7.7

J'ai testé cette version de l'outil aujourd'hui 06/01/2012.
Problème : Impossible d'installer la dernière version ainsi que les précédentes sur Xampp version 1.7.7.
Car une erreur 404 s'affiche.
J'ai essayé avec les 2 versions antérieures : problème idem.
1) Y a t-il une incompatibilité avec la dernière version de Xampp 1.7.7 ?
2) Y a t-il des étapes préalables non indiquées dans les instructions d'installation (exemple : créer préalablement une base et une utilisateur dans MySQL) ?

Pour info : j'utilise jusqu'ici eGroupware et FengOffice.

I tested this version of the tool today 06/01/2012.
Problem: Unable to install the latest version and previous version with Xampp 1.7.7.
For a 404 error.
I tried with 2 versions 1.9.0 and 1.9.1 : Same problem.
1) 1) Is there a incompatibility with the latest version of Xampp 1.7.7 ?
2) Is there any preliminary steps not shown in the installation instructions (for example, first to create a database and a user in MySQL)?

There is not constraint againt Xampp. I tried it once without any issue.
A 404 error should appear because the page is not found.
So either you did not extract files in the good directory, or you do not use the correct url to reach the page.
Can you give more info about your deployment :
- where did you deploy your files ?
- what url do you try ?

I tried to install the tool on the Xampp version 1.7.3 and everything went very well.
But after several attempts to install the tool on the Xampp version 1.7.7, by doing exactly the same steps I have a 404.
So the question is not related to the installation procedure.
I repeat: there is a problem from the very first step of installing the tool on the Xampp version 1.7.7

About your questions :
- where did you deploy your files ? The ProjectOrRIA' folder is placed at this path "F:xampphtdocs"
- what url do you try ? "http://localhost/projectorria"

After installation (on xampp 1.7.3), the URL for displaying the connexion page is :
http://localhost/projectorria/view/main.php

Just to check it's not just a redirection issue, can you just try and run directly :
http://localhost/projectorria/view/main.php

i use myself a lot of Xamp server based on UBUNTU, can you control only this URL :
http://localhost/
if it's work, search in apache configuration file (folder /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/*, or /etc/apache2/apache2.conf :
DocumentRoot /var/www
check if you have a folder inside projectorria ( /var/www/projectorria )
if OK check user rights on folders:

you can also take a look in apache error log :
/var/log/apache2/error.log
and see how apache change external URL to system file path.

I use the application "Project'orRia" on Windows XP - SP2
And with the version 1.7.7 of Xampp it's don't work.

Since many days, I tried to install on many different machines, but it's the same result 🙁

There is no issue about Project'Or RIA on XAMPP 1.7.7.

I just (on my Win WP SP2 workstation)
=> downloaded it from http://www.apachefriends.org/download.php?xampp-win32-1.7.7-VC9-installer.exe (5mn)
=> installed it, just changing target directory, all other paremeters kept as is (5mn)
=> copy projectoriaV1.9.1.zip to /htdocs and unzip (2mn)
=> open XAMPP console and start Apache and MySql (10s)
=> run /localhost/projectorria : all OK : config screen, creation of Database, creation of db structure, connection : Project'Or RIA is 100% operational.

There must be an issue on your installation : rights restrictions on target forlders ?
Can you run any other PHP application (phpMyAdmin, Mantis BT, phpBB, ) on this installation ?
