[#786]

When ever a users uses the export to PDF it will work however it takes up to 30 minutes then the PDF will show. I have tried on diffrant client machines diffrant browsers, even on the server it self. We are using v2.6.3 on a Dell PowerEdge 2900 windows 2008, with XAMPP installed. XAMPP is the only services running on the server as a local intranet server. Is this a typical speed to export projects? I have used the demo works quicker we do have larger projects however not that large the PDF will consist of up to 5 pages.

Unfortunately, yes it is a typical speed to export palnning to PDF.
The time spend exponentially increses withproject complexity (number on lines, number of columns).
You can reduce time in :
- limiting numer of lines displayed (select singled project)
- change time scale (impact not so important)
Or use a workaround :
- Display the print preview of the planning
- Then export to PDF using a PDF Printer (for instance PDF Creator)

There is an improvement planned to improve PDF planning export to PDF :
- better performance
- include dependency lines
but it is a very hard refactoring, so not planned yet.

Thanks for the information, we have tried to use diffrant PDF creators it is faster however on the Gnatt chart it drops the colors when it is exported, looks good on the print preview however once we print to PDF no more colors. I have tried Adobe standard, and cutepdf same results. Have you experienced this before?

The printer PDF creators will use your brower printing settings.
So be sure to check "print background colors and images" (or equivalent depending on browser) in your browser advanced properties.
