Just one point : you’ll have to reinitialize your password. Use “Lost password” feature.
We just did a fresh install via Softaculous and got "invalid perimeter" error message on the 1st long in. The Database was already created as well. We also tried a 2nd install with admin / admin as the username and password and got the same message. How do we fix this? Can we edit the entry in the DB to get around this?

We do not manage the softaculous install.
Softaculous does.
Check on their site, if they have specific instruction for fresh install.
For manual install, first login is admin / admin.
You may check log file for errors.
