Bonjour,
I discover a very nice functionnality in Projeqtor, the ability to set FTE for a period.
So I set my ressource's default FTE to 1 and I set a COVID-19 FTE to 0.5 in "FTE variation" from 01/04/2020 to 31/05/2020.
But when I return to my gannt view and ask projeqtor to calculate my project, for a task with a charge of 8 hours it does not change its real spent time to 2 days but lets 1 day.
What is wrong in my configuration?
PS: 8 hours is my default number of working hour in a day
Regards,
There's nothing wrong with your configuration, it's about undestanding what variation of capacity is.
It does not change duration of a day, so that a full work day is now half a day.
Moreover it won't impact real work entered.
It is just a way to plan the resource with a different capacity than usual one.
For exemple if you need the resource to work for extra time every day to cover some extra work during a period.
It can also be (for covid period) that the resource will be planned only half days during the period.
But it's only for planning, it won't have any effect on real work entered. It will just point out in timesheet that only 0,5 day is expected (sum for day is green when sum entered is 0,5), but resource is always able to enter more (or less) to reflect what he really worked.

Thanks for the answer. So do I need to set my tasks charge to 50%?

Thanks for the answer. So do I need to set my tasks charge to 50%?
If you mean "assignment rate at 50%", NO.
Resource capacity to 0,5 will be enough to limit planning.
Hum...
Perhaps I did not understand.
Below my configuration with standard FTE of 1 and no variation:
And below a task in my planning with this configuration (task duration is 8h):
Now I change my FTE configuration inserting a period of variation with a FTE of 0.5 and keep a standard FTE of 1. (the example task is in the period and begin 15 june)
this is the result on my planning?
I expected that Projeqtor will put the task on two days and not only one day.
What is wrong?

Hi,
it should be, but not necessarily with 0,5 each day ( it is a maximum allowed to be planifed on one or more activities per day)
first, have you recalculated the planning ? i think so.
Secondly, is this resource planned among others projects ?
You can make a right click over the bar in order to watch how the work is planned
Hello,
It is weird.
Yesterday after all my changes in ETP configuration I recalculated the planning.
Today I recalculated the planning again and I got the following:
So I returned in ETP configuration then removed ETP variation configuration.
I recalculted the planning but unfortunetaly it does not change??
Are there a cron that is launched during night and that is needed by ETP configuration to be OK?

Hello,
Any idea, I thinks we are on the verge to close this issue.

No, changes are taken into account imlmediatly at planning calculation.
Be sure your project has been calculated (you'll notice in planning view that icon has a little orange spot where project needs recalculating)
