[#246]

In Activity - New Task if I try to add resource using "+" in assignment area it will not populate the list of resources and manual typing producing always "The value entered is not valid" message.
I can add resource using "responsible" field (still no population for drop down box but search button is producing resource list) but only ONE resource. Looking like there is no way to add second resource. So, what I am doing wrong?

Hi,

Resource must be affected to the project.
Then resource appears in the list and can be assigned to the activity.

Regards.

Sorry - found the reason for the problem - it is in affectations which done wrong. Can you please explain how to do affectations for multiple projects when people involved kind of time-to-time in different projects but on 100%?
Regards

Affectation definition includes affectation rate to the project.
For instance, if a resource works evenly on 5 project, oyu can define affectation rate at 20% on each.
This way, planning process will plan work for resource 1 day per project each week.

Another way is to assign to tasks at a 20% rate. Then resource will be planned only 20% on each project each day.

Just define resources at 100% on each project and activities.
Then play with priorities of activities (lower number is planned first).

Constraint : you must plan the projects together.
Planning each project one at a time will not free resource availability : when a resource is planned on one project's task planning another project will not be able to move this first planning.
