(en)Hello The ProjeQtors Guys! We would like to upgrade our ProjeQtor, and we especially hoping for a speed improvement ! However before doing this update, we would have some preliminary questions: -> FYI our current version is V6.3.7 (yes it's a little dated!) - So can we directly upgrade to version V9? Is there a risk in making this upgrade directly from V6.3.7 to V9.0.2, or is it better to proceed step by step (ie v6-> v7-> v8-> v9 with each time the latest version of the major series?) - No data loss is to be feared by doing such an update? - how to update (A simple decompression of the new version in the correct directory of the ProjeQtor WEB server)? As explained here (Title : upgrade to new version): https://www.projeqtor.org/en/product-en/technical-en/64-setup-en/413-product-setup-en - The database backup is done by: (path to) mysqldump.exe --user = root projeqtor> c: abc myfile1234.db All the databases of all the data will be in/there ? Thank you in advance for your suggestions / help / comments on these questions.

So can we directly upgrade to version V9?

Yes

Is there a risk in making this upgrade directly from V6.3.7 to V9.0.2

No

or is it better to proceed step by step (ie v6-> v7-> v8-> v9 with each time the latest version of the major series?)

No, migrating directly from V6.3 to V9.0 will follow same steps

No data loss is to be feared by doing such an update?

No.
But a backup before migration is a good idea 😉

how to update (A simple decompression of the new version in the correct directory of the ProjeQtor WEB server)?
  As explained here : www.projeqtor.org/en/product-en/technica...413-product-setup-en

Yes

The database backup is done by: (path to) mysqldump.exe --user = root projeqtor> c:abcmyfile1234.db

Yes, it is one option

All the databases of all the data will be in/there ?

No, only projeqtor DB will be saved, but this is enough

You can also use phpMyAdmin that provides web interface to manage your MySql DB and backup with option. But this may be a mess to restore large DB.
My option for backup is MySqlDumper (look for MyOos for recent version)
