Make advanced filter:

"name", contains, Dynamic value
AND
"type", amongst, Dynamic value

I think the key point is that you forgot to click on the save disk next to the name

After that you can select sour filter and you will get a box and below you can select the type of project

If you want to filter several projects with a drop down list, use the project selector in top left corner and use the setting "standard (reflecting WBS structure)"
Then you can checkmark several and click ok in the end

Thanks for showing your interest in helping.

But please consider Image attached by me is not about what you understand, you are telling about top bar project selector & my question is not about that but it is regarding projects module which we select from LHS MENU to create/edit/view projects.

Filters are the same in both cases !

Okay, though solution given by Coasterman was already known by me.
But I will manage to filter projects from top bar.
