I am looking for a detailed list of steps that can help me to configure from scratch Active Directory Integration to allow users to log in with their AD Accounts.

Just enter correct parameters on Global Parameters.
You'll find some help with F1
AD just required specific user search filter : sAMAccountName=%USERNAME%
