projeqtor configuration

I work as an IT support and for a good reason with the amount of clients walking in and out of our office during working ours is kind of frustrating and for this reason we decided to get a ticket system to reduce the disturbances we get during working hours. We chose to use Projeqtor because my manager find it very convenient and reliable and I should be in charge of the administration of this wonderful ticketing system you created. I have a couple of questions:- 1. how does a user send a ticket. i would be very happy and glad if i get a very detailed description on this since I am but a beginner. 2. is it possible to create two different ticket dashboards. We have two different issues to address at work and we think it would be super nice if it is possible to create multiple ticket dashboards to address different issues separately. 3.how do I set the mailing notification up so users, managers, supervisors etc get notified when a ticket is closed, in pending status etc. Best regards Dzahli.

Where do I find a complete history of every thing done in Projeqtor as a Project leader?
For example, I work on a ticket and close it, is there a history that shows who work on a ticket and closed a ticket?

hi,

There are two possibilities to display the history of one element.
First. If the history is not displayed in the detail area of the element, go to the user parameters, then, heading "graphic interface behavior - display history - option: yes or on request
Secondly go to "report" then miscalleanous - then various details of history of item and display it by category and by id

Thank you very much for the help. I was able to find what I want.
Just today I encounted another problem, Everything was working very fine when some users started calling in that they cant login and to verify I had to logout and login myself and I could not login anymore, I tried logging in too as an administrator and it is not working. How do I solve this probelm, hope to read back fom you soon.

Hello Admin,
I have a problem with my projeqtor sending email even after configuring the mailing parameteres.
I get the following error when I try to send am email:

SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

What do you think is the problem and what do you think i should do? Thank you.

In the global parameter screen, where you configure the email sending, you have a button to test the configuration.
Try it, you shuld get an explicit error.
You can also have a look at log file to get more information about the error.

PHPMail error : SMTP connect() failed.

The credentials you privided are refused by SMTP server.
It can also be because SMTP server requires SSL or TLS and you don't provide correct mean (you can add ssl:// or tls:// as prefix of smtp server name to force on of these modes)

You can display history of any item.
In user parameter, select value for "show history".
My advise it to select "on request" => you'll get a new button to show history

Possibly it does not work because you did not configure email parameters in global parameters

I worked around it and I was able to find a solution. Thanks anyway.

I have this other problem and I would like to ask how to solve it. I transferred users from ldap with email username@old.com and now every email address changed to username@new.com, how do i change the email addresses in projeqtor to the new email addresses.

Got to list of users.
Export as CSV (just id and email address)
Open CSV file in Excel or Text editor and change emails (use replace feature)
Use import feature to reimport the file.
Users with corresponding id will be updated.
