[#1004]

Hi,
Can you please give us a little bit more information about new features, for example what means: Responsible management eased?
Regards,
Evgueni

You'll find details :
- in the "Change history" on this site
- in the track Database : you'll be able to see details for all tickets incouded in the version.

Responsible management eased has 2 points :
- responsible is automatically set for projects with single resource affected (one only resource means he will sure be the responsible), if option is selected in global parameters
- responsible automatically set as current user if :
=> current user is a resource
=> status of item requires responsible (depending on item type)
=> option is selected in global parameters

new features:
-improvement of the move of tasks with drag & drop
-create link between tasks with drag & drop on Gantt
both this working extremely slow and worse than it been before for move of tasks (at least in IE)
- keep visibility of selected line in Gantt view
this is ok when you selected but after that behavior of the Gantt chart is unpredictable - it moving with the mouse move everywhere

Strange, as IE9 brings much better peformance than IE8, and I don't get any issue on IE8. I'll try again tonight on my Win7 desktop, with IE9.

How many lines are displayed in the gantt view ?
19.5

I didn't know Gantt chart could display half lines... :silly:

I confirm that on "Drag & Drop" of tasks, V3.2 is slower than V3.1.
In both case, on IE9, there is a latency from start of draging to display of item to be moved.
This latency seems to increase with number of displayed lines.
In same conditions (35 lines displayed on the Gantt), the latency is about :
1,0 seconds on V3.1
1,4 seconds on V3.4
Nothing blocking, but very strange.
This behavious is not reproduced on Chrome or FireFox, nor on IE8...

I recorded Ticket #1017 to keep an eye on this behaviour and compare :
- with next version of Dojo (v1.8.4 expected, I could not migrate to V1.8.3 because or regression from V1.8.0...)
- remove the "andles" in the D&D items (Dojo feature to limit the dragging zone), added in V3.2

Hi Babynus,

1,4 seconds on V3.4

It seems, you have magical power - testing a version (V3.4) which will be born in the next future 😆

What more surprising :
I just testest on IE8 (on WinXP), which is much slower than IE9, and the issue does not appear : drap & drop has no perceptible latency...
