Hi,
As per GDPR regulation for residents of European Union, users should be able to opt out of analytics (in Audit connections, I can see that OS and browser are at least collected, maybe there are other things somewhere else).
My request is to have an ability (preference checkbox for example) for an individual user to disable analytics.
By default, when an user is created, this checkbox must be disabled (enabled by default is not legal).
Thank you,
Request recorded as Ticket #3541
Thank you very much babynus!
Can we expect to have it included for v7.2.0 (or even better on stable 7.1.6) as it is a legal requirement that is past due for more than three months?
Hi,
V7.2 is already full.
We plan it for 7.3.
NB : for GDPR, most important is to inform users what information you store and what you will do with it.
What is great about GDPR is that if you read it as it is written, you have to inform users that you store their email address, even if it is the professional email that your company gave them :silly:
You can for instance add a message on login screen for that (best that we can do today).
We'll add in 7.3 a message with storage of "proof of reading".
It is the most important request of GDPR.
About audit, I don't think you'll get any trouble for logging OS and browser used... 😉 on a work environment.
Object of GDPR is not here, even if it's been defined a way that includes it 👿
Hope inpectors have more important work to do with GAFA and other companies that make their business on our data.
