Why the component doesn't have a Provider field?

Why should it ?

A product maybe composed of different components provided by different stakeholders. But if you see that this information is not relevant I must reconsider my comprehension of the product and component relation.

OK, so you think about adding "Skateholder" to components, not "Provider".
So it could be a Contact or Customer...

But in the idea configuration management in ProjeQtOr it is not relevant.
Because the idea is that the Product Level is visible by custumers, but Component Level is not.
It's it an internal level, knonw only by realization team.

Hi,
I am working on using ProjeQtOr as a complete management system in a small company (around 50 employees) and I still have some questions on components and products.
I understand that a product composed of many components is the result of a project and also a component is a result of a project.
I think it is a good idea to have some components provided by a third party (by providers) but maybe for you a provider concerns only the financial part. I am a little confused.
