Hello
Cron works wonderful for automatic import.
Cron stops. (Cron status in Adminsitration view).
It is possible that Cron restart automatically or that Cron never stops?
Regards,
ND
Cron automatically stops when there is a major failure that the application cannot manage.
In most cases it is due to access rights to the import folder or its sub-folders.
The Cron is stopped to avoid to eternally treat the same files and loop on the error.
You must frst fix the issue (it should be detailed in log file) then restart the Cron.
For information, there is a mecanism to automatically restart the Cron on first user connection if Cron has be "brutally" stopped (for instance when restarting PHP Server).

Works perfectly with your explanation.

Hi all,
Just wondering, what do you use the automatic import for ? (if it's not too indiscreet 🙂 )
It's a really nice feature, but I haven't really found a use for it - I just use manual imports.
Cheers!
Hello Caccia
we use this function for automatic import of item which are created in our ERP system with teh associated version.
We use Projeqtor for lifecycle of products. The reason why the version change is mentionned as a note behind the product entry.
The automatic import avoid again to type everything about product and version into Projeqtor.
Another us of Cron is the import for Non Quality issue coming back from customer. When the good comming back from the customer, logictiic department make note of good entry with the system. By saving event the system generates a file for Projeqtor and the folow up willbe done with Projeqtor.
We have a few others use of Cron. For the moment Cron import of attachements doesnt work because we could imagine a lot of productivity with thius feature.
I hope my explanation are clear for you.
