Hello,

I continue my tests from a full new installation of the v6.1.3.

I created a project with validated date from 03/04 to 28/04, with a single activity for the moment, from 05/04 to 12/04

I allocate 2 ressources on this activity, one for 1 day and the second for 2 days.

I see now that the duration of the activity stay 6 days and not 3 days (like in v6.1.1) and find it good 🙂

I decide also to upgrade my "PreProd environnement" which is in 6.1.1 to 6.1.3 to test this operation mode in my environnment....but it doesnt work like in the new 6.1.3 environnment 🙁

And after Real allocation input four the user1, the field "Planned" is not updated : it is not the same in v6.1.1

Is there some parameters I need to put to have this operation mode ? It would be great because I find it is the right operation mode (workload don't have to change duration on a project, it can be really two different things)

Thanks

Regards,
Damien

I think that on first test, you just did not run planing calcultation...

I see now that the duration of the activity stay 6 days and not 3 days (like in v6.1.1) and find it good 🙂

In fact with your parameters it is not good : duration of the task should be 2 days. Try and re-calculate planning to see what I mean.

workload don't have to change duration on a project, it can be really two different things

You're wrong ! Workload drives the duration in a work driven management, and ProjeQtOr implements work driven management (also call effort driven).
But you're right on one side : duration and workload are 2 really different things.

Is there some parameters I need to put to have this operation mode ?

Yes : use fixed duration planning mode.
ASAP planning mode will calculate duration from workload to end as soon as possible.
